Cancun has long been the jewel of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, attracting tourists from all over the world thanks to its pristine beaches and Caribbean blue waters. However, Cancun’s popularity also makes it one of the most expensive family vacation destinations in the world, with resorts and dining that rival even those in Hawaii or other tropical paradises. Fortunately, there are ways to travel to this tropical paradise without paying through the nose, allowing you to enjoy the natural wonders that make Cancun such a great destination without breaking the bank! Here’s how!
Travel Cashbacks and Packages
When traveling to Cancun, there are many packages that can be found. These packages include food, drinks, excursions and transportation. Depending on the type of trip you want to take and your budget for travel, you can find the perfect package for your needs. For example, if you want an all-inclusive vacation, there are several restaurants and bars at the resort to choose from. You also have access to pools with swim up bars and daily entertainment shows. For those looking for an adventure filled experience in Cancun, this is not the best option. The all-inclusive resort provides what most travelers look for; however, they offer activities like swimming with dolphins or snorkeling off of the coast which may not fit into everyone’s plan.
Finding the Right Package
It’s not always easy to travel with your family, especially when it comes to budgeting for it. Luckily, there are plenty of affordable options for you and your family to enjoy your vacation in Cancun. For starters, why not try renting a condo? There are many condos available at reasonable prices, which will also give you the opportunity to experience all the amenities that come with living in Cancun. Another option is to stay at one of the many resorts in town. These resorts offer more activities than just relaxing by the pool so you’ll never get bored. Finally, if you’re looking for something close to home but still want some beach time, consider taking a bus or plane ride down here!
All-Inclusive or Not?
When deciding to travel with your family, it is important to consider the type of vacation you are interested in. If you are looking for an all-inclusive experience where everything is taken care of, then that is a great option. If you are looking for something more budget friendly and adventurous, then you might want to consider staying at one of the many resorts throughout Cancun Mexico and exploring the area for fun things to do. You can also go fishing or golfing while being entertained by local folk music at night. Another idea would be to spend your days visiting one of the beautiful beaches along the coast. The Mexican Riviera is full of activities for every traveler!
If you’re traveling to Cancun from the US, you will typically fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). From there, you can take a taxi or shuttle service to your destination. It may be more affordable for your family to use public transportation instead of taxis or shuttles. There are two major bus stations in the city and they are located near each other. The bus station in Zone 4 serves destinations outside of Cancun, while the one in Zone 5 serves destinations inside the city. To make things easier, keep in mind that zones correspond with the letters ZA-ZO on street signs around town. If you want to go to Playa del Carmen or Tulum, both touristy areas south of Cancun, catch a bus at Zone 5. For Cozumel Island or Chichen Itza Ruins (both north of Cancun), head to Zone 4.
Staying organized and packing light will make your trip to Cancun even more enjoyable. For example, have everyone in the family pack their clothing in separate bags so that you don’t have to sort through piles of dirty clothes when you get home from your vacation. Plus, it’ll be easier for you to find certain outfits in the morning if you know where they are. If you’re not sure what to wear, check out some travel videos by other families who’ve been there. It’s always fun to see what others recommend!
